LONG time no post. Busy..that's the ONLY thing that can describe it.

Here is my VELA scarf post. I've been eyeing *wink, wink* VELA for a while. They are SOOO pretty to look at. Their hijabs come in various price points. Since these are my VELA scarves I picked the inexpensive ones. Now inexpensive does NOT mean low quality.

So I received my 3 VELA scarves very quickly after purchasing online.



Can I say they ARE lovely.

I plan on wearing one to an event this weekend..

MOOZ-lum and HFW

I'm really STOKED!!! MOOZ-Lum comes out TODAY. DC is one of the 10 cities its being showed in for the next two weekends. UmmAminahHonest and I are going tonight to see it (O.O.T.D pics to come).

Speaking of outfits..Hijabi Fashion Week starts on Monday the 14th!!! Last year it was SOOOO nice to see modest takes on the themes of the day. No particular reason...besides the fact that moving is financially consuming.

If you don't know..well KNOW u know Pearl Daisy is HOT right now. Pearl Daisy is a UK company run buy a Youtuber who goes by Amenakin. Well Pearl Daisy features hijabs, tikas, underscarves and hoojabs. What a HOOJAB u say? Well check out her explanation here.

Now I have made 3 orders from Pearl Daisy so far. I've purchased hoojabs, thin scarf hijabs and accessories. I'll admit that at first sister Amena had issues with international shipping but now that she uses FedEx in the US, I've had NO problems obtaining my items once they have left the UK. It still takes about 15 days, but it is what it is.

Sister Amena with her website and her tutorials have inspired many a hijabi and new hijabis to create new and interesting hijab styles. Great for not only special events but everyday and anyday. I am currently working to bring the D/M/V more hijab styles, types of hijabs and more all at your finger tips!! No more waiting for parcels *wink, wink*. Chasing the mail man down or bugging out when things get caught in customs (don't EVEN want to go there).

Day 1 Muslim Cruise

The D/M/V Muslim Community was all a buz in November and December. NFinate Productions and Cresent Moon Nights came together for a dinner cruise in Baltimore. Soooo what was the first question, after how much were the tickets?, what do I wear? I mean "Dress to Impress" can mean SO many thangs to SO many people. The only guidelines given were : NO sweats, NO tennis, NO jeans. Hmmmm well I KNEW I was going to have something made...but WHAT. New garment? Skirt? Pants? Then..what color? What hijab...cuz those in the closet won't DO? I mean the LIST could go on and on.

So I decided to have a skirt made. Sort of like the high waisted one's I've seen on various blogs. I mean I wanted to think outside the box. So I bought the fabric and had it made.










The cruise was GREAT!! Great food, great company, great entertainment! It was even GREATER to see the Ummah come out and in STYLE. Dresses, sari's, tuxes, and more.

Can't wait to the next one.
