What is a hoojab?

Salaams and Saluations Beauties

If you don't know..well KNOW u know Pearl Daisy is HOT right now. Pearl Daisy is a UK company run buy a Youtuber who goes by Amenakin. Well Pearl Daisy features hijabs, tikas, underscarves and hoojabs. What a HOOJAB u say? Well check out her explanation here.

Now I have made 3 orders from Pearl Daisy so far. I've purchased hoojabs, thin scarf hijabs and accessories. I'll admit that at first sister Amena had issues with international shipping but now that she uses FedEx in the US, I've had NO problems obtaining my items once they have left the UK. It still takes about 15 days, but it is what it is.

Sister Amena with her website and her tutorials have inspired many a hijabi and new hijabis to create new and interesting hijab styles. Great for not only special events but everyday and anyday. Are you tired of the same OLD same OLD hijab style. Stuck in a rut with your hijab selection, well check out the Pearl Daisy Fan page on FB and get inspired!! Now mind you, new items go QUICK. You have to be on point with the website and credit card/paypal handy. Don't get left in the dust...check it out.
**Shhhhhh BU the Trunk Show is working on selling solid color hoojabs**

Coastal Scents Haul

Salaams and Salutations Beauties...

I got it!! I got it!! My coastal scents 78 make-up palette!! If you check out YouTube you can see BIG raves about coastal scents. From Mineral make up, to brushes (comparable to MAC without the MAC price tag), to the palette. During December the 88 make up palette was the rave. But I thought to my self..'Do you really need 88 eye shadows?'...so I bought the 78 make up palette. The palette includes: 60 Eye shadows, 12 highlighting and liner shades, 6 blushers, and it's only $21.95!!! Truly a great buy for those who are short on cash but want to venture into shades and blushes.

a free sample came with the palette..cool

Some of the colors are matte and some are shimmery

I hope you likey. Please let me know when you get your, what you thing.

R & D: MAC and Sephora

Salaams and Salutations...
A couple of weeks ago..I went out to MAC and Sephora for a little R&D (research and developmemt). I decided I needed to try out some stuff before I bought them myself.

First I went to MAC. I've been trying to get to MAC for weeks!!! HA talks about MAC all the time: MAC this and MAC that so...it was time to try it out.

I have on MAC Skinfinish natural in Dark. I luv it. It doesn't look 'cakey' or unnatural. And MAC girlie told me how I can make it more 'all over' depending on the brush I use (ooohhhh brushes)

So I took this MAC face over to Sephora. There was a lot here I wanted to try out. Sephora is like a woman's candy store, with make up being the candy. So I continued to promenade through NARS, Benefit Cosmetics, CARGO and O.P.I.

Scandalous Beauty talks about NARS here. She raves about Crazed and Dolce Vita being in ever brown girls repertoire of blushes (yes brown girls should wear blush). So above this is Dolce Vita in the store and then below..is Dolce Vita on ME!! I love it!!

So I went over to Benefit Cosmetics and put on the BABE CAKE eyeliner. I wanted to try this because Queen of Blending ALWAYS uses it. I mean I still need to work on my technique..but I think I did okay.

Then I tried the Powder in a Box line from Benefit Cosmetics. Hoola caught my eye from the get go....so being in Sephora I had to try it.

So I was out for an hour and 45 minutes alone to skip along in make up stores. I got a lot of research done. I know what I will be buying the next time I make a Sephora and MAC purchase online. So that is me at the end of the day. Not too shabby heh?

she's got the look!: christina ricci

Oh my goodness! I nearly swooned when I originally saw this pic! look at the perfection which is her eyebrows! the dramatic but very clean eyeliner is just gorgeous. the nude lip really puts the focus on her eyes! loves it.

To recreate this look I would use my new intimate friend MAC Penultimate in Rapidblack ad line the lower water line with a white liner to make eyes appear bigger. I would also fill in my brows with a dark brown pencil like Maybelline Expert Eyes.
