-learning about running a blog
- can write
- can take and edit photos
- can use the internet *don't laugh*
- knows or knows how to look up basic HTML (website)
- likes or is interested in make up
- will be willing to test products (hijabs, make up, skin care)
- interested in modest fashion

- wants to learn about a small buisness
- lives in MD proper or can travel no prob
- can work 2 conference, 2 fashions shows and maybe a third
- work on inventory
- is organized

You Must Accessorize..a hijabi's story

Happy New Year...for those who induldge. I chilled out on the 31st. I was packing and preparing to move to another city in the D/M/V ((jump up and down here)). Saturday Abu Amirah and I went out with the Maryland Ummah on a night cruise. It was truly for the grown and halal sexy *wink*. EVERYONE came out in their BEST. You could TELL sister's and brother's REALLY put thought into their outfits and accessories.

So today's post is on accessories. Do you wear them? Well let me tell you accessories can REALLY make your outfits POP (ooohhhh aaaaaa oooo here).

Somethings to try are necklaces. I wasn't always into them, but as of late they really make my outfits come to life.

This is a Pearl Daisy necklace. Very simple and chic.

Love this Etsy find. It can be worn with SO many colors.

Of course I go for the unique and different. I heart Etsy because I can find unique and handmade pieces. Although I have an accessory budget, like a hijab budget-lol, I splurge every now and then.

So what about brooches? When one thinks for brooches do you picture little old ladies knitting in circles?? Scratch THAT...how about fly hijabs with fly brooches!!

Very elegant.

So you have your necklaces, your brooches and now there are head bands. Of course I go for the IN YOU FACE type. Subtlety is NOT my specialty...lol. These headbands or bandos (for you UK ladies) add a little 'somethin' somethin'' to an outfit and hijab look. More pics like these to come.

This lovely was purchased from New Look and its so pretty. I wore it with My Day 1 outfit (another post).

We have Sprint so I went with the HTC Evo. iPhone equivalent...yes. Do I have a problem with that..NO.

How has everyone BEEN!!! How was your EID Al Adha, mine was good..fun with the kids. MEGAmind was so funny.

Anywhoo...its time to get BACK in the swing of things.. So its Muharram, New Islamic Year, New you. What are the new things you have lined up this year???

Welll for me, AbuAmirah and I are going on this cruise in Baltimore on January 1st. Something so different for the both of us. I'm trying to put together my outfit now. BIG deal?? Umm YEAH!! Why not. I wanta look hijabi chic. My colors are navy and silver, there WILL be pics..lol. Below are pics of my shoe dilemma: navy or white?

Which to choose?

I'm having a navy high waisted skirt made and of course a fly hijab!!

Other NEW things in 1432....Beautiful Ummah the Trunk Show!! I'll be show casing and selling ALL of my favorite hijabs, doing tutorials and more. I'm still working on collecting my stock so....more info to come.
